On July 9th, Dongfeng Motor Corporation officially unveiled the 4-speed hybrid long-range SUV MAGE with a remarkable range of 1350km. As a strategic partner of Kuai Zhou Rockets, Dongfeng  proudly announced that the Kuai Zhou- MAGE, the first-stage solid carrier rocket of Kuai Zhou series, will be launched soon! As Dongfeng Motor Corporation's "first"  in the new energy transformation, the MAGE is equipped with the Mach Hybrid DH-i hybrid technology. The new vehicle offers two versions: MAGE PHEV, allowing for charging at any time and enjoying pure electric driving experience; MAGE HEV, which operates with or without charging and delivers powerful performance thanks to its electric drive system.

3.8L Super Fuel-efficient, 1350km Ultra-long Range with No Compromise in Harsh Conditions

DONGFENG MAGE adopts the design concept of "Speaking of Stars, Moving with Stars". With a body length of 4650mm, width of 1905mm, height of 1630mm, and wheel  of 2775mm, it combines a sporty appearance with spaciousness.

Its attractive appearance captivates people, while its fuel efficiency moves them. Despite frequent starts and stops in urban traffic congestion, the MAGE manages to be even more fuel-efficient in such situations. From start-up, idling, cruising, to braking, the MAGE operates purely on electric power with zero fuel consumption. During summer parking, the air conditioning is powered by the motor, allowing users to bid farewell to the fear of losing cooling comfort. High-speed driving has always been a challenge for new energy vehicles in terms of energy consumption. However, through the adjustment of its 4-speed transmission, the MAGE always keeps its power system in optimal condition, achieving remarkable energy savings even at high speeds. However, pure electric vehicles often experience significant range reduction in extremely cold winter conditions, and many users are discouraged by the insufficient charging infrastructure in remote areas such as the northwest region.

DONGFENG MAGE's ultra-long range remains uncompromised even under harsh driving conditions and does not depend on fully equipped charging facilities. Even in the frigid environment of the northwestern border regions, there is zero anxiety when driving the vehicle. During long-distance trips, the ultra-long range allows drivers to bypass service areas and avoid the dilemma of queuing for charging on holidays. Recently, the MAGE also underwent extreme cold testing, and its range remained unaffected. The MAGE is equipped with the industry's first certified thermal efficiency engine with a rating of 45.18%, the DONGFENG Mach Hybrid dedicated engine. The HEV model has a combined power of 215 kW and a combined torque of 565 N·m, while the PHEV model has an even higher combined power of 265 kW and a combined torque of 615 N·m.

The DONGFENG Mach Hybrid 1.5T dedicated engine, coupled with a 4-speed series-parallel + dual motor configuration, allows the MAGE to utilize pure electric, series, or parallel drive modes when driving on urban roads, ensuring strong electric acceleration at all times. During high-speed driving, unlike other hybrid vehicles that use a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a single-speed transmission, the MAGE possesses impressive high-speed acceleration capabilities. Specifically, with the support of the 4-speed hybrid transmission, the electric drive in parallel mode can be sustained at speeds over 110 km/h, allowing the MAGE Mach Hybrid DH-i to enjoy the thrill of electric propulsion anytime and anywhere.
