On May 10th, during China's 9th Brand Day, Xinhua News Agency and the New Media Center of Xinhua held the 2025 Brand High-Quality Overseas Forum. Dongfeng Import and Export Company was awarded the "Sustainable Development Case" award for its report titled "Promoting 'Localized Innovation' and Deepening the ASEAN Right-Hand Drive Market, Dongfeng Motors Leading Southeast Asia’s Commercial Vehicle Track with Hard-Core Strength." This recognition highlights the significant progress of the company’s global branding efforts and marks the first time Dongfeng has received such an honor. Additionally, the company’s communication content has been included multiple times in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission's "Central Enterprise Overseas Publicity Report" and has won the IAI International Advertising Award for three consecutive years.

Commercial Vehicle Right-Hand Drive Technology Breakthrough Leads the Way in ASEAN


In response to the unique demands of the right-hand drive market in Southeast Asia, the company has built its core competitiveness through "technological breakthroughs + ecosystem co-creation." For example, the GX series heavy-duty trucks developed for the mining sector in Indonesia are equipped with a 520-horsepower Euro V engine and R24 special tires. With a peak torque of 2460N·m, these trucks have improved off-road capability by 35%. Within three months of launch, over 1,500 units were sold. Additionally, Indonesia's smart logistics platform now integrates over 5,000 operating vehicles, forming a digital transportation network covering mining, infrastructure, and urban distribution.

Myanmar's three major parts depots now provide a "24-hour emergency response" service, while in Vietnam, 30 standardized service stations have established a "100-kilometer service circle." These solid initiatives have helped the company steadily increase its market share in the Southeast Asian right-hand drive market, while continuously enhancing the reputation of Chinese manufacturing.
