Look Quickly! Hardcore real-world testing in the heart of the Alps!

Recently, at the Pahofort Safe Driving Center in the heart of the Alps, the MHERO I, as the new electric off-road king, successfully conquered the extreme off-road track at an altitude of 1,600 meters. This event was witnessed by over a dozen authoritative media outlets, including Slovakia's TopSpeed and Czech Start-Stop. The 3.4-ton off-road beast, blending military-grade genes with electric technology, has redefined Europe's standards for rugged off-road vehicles with its hardcore performance.

The test drive team designed a three-stage testing route that strongly reflects the characteristics of the Alps. The first stage, a 45° gravel slope, tested the instant torque output. The second stage, a 1.2-meter deep water crossing, verified the battery protection system. The final stage, continuous axle-crossing terrain, tested the vehicle’s body rigidity.

Thanks to the collaboration between the four independent electric motors and intelligent full-time all-wheel drive, the MHERO I demonstrated astonishing off-road capabilities — achieving a maximum climbing angle of 100%, a water fording depth 30% greater than traditional gasoline off-road vehicles, and maintaining body stability throughout with 15 cm of air suspension travel adjustment.

One of the most shocking demonstrations for the media was the “Crab Mode” test, where the four-wheel steering system allowed the MHERO I to move laterally along a narrow mountain path only 6 meters wide. Coupled with the rear-wheel active steering of 10 degrees, this 2950mm wheelbase behemoth showed an agility that rivals that of city SUVs.

According to real-world data from the Czech AutoNavigator testing team, the MHERO I accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, surpassing top-tier performance SUVs. Its 39.8-meter 100 km/h braking distance also reached supercar-level performance, further cementing its place as a true powerhouse in the electric off-road vehicle market.

When media reporters stepped into the cabin, they were immediately impressed by the luxurious aesthetic of this electric off-roader, enhanced by three-layer acoustic glass. The vehicle features a sophisticated three-screen digital matrix, consisting of a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, a 16.2-inch central control screen, and a 12.3-inch passenger-side screen. This is complemented by the Dynaudio Confidence series 18-speaker sound system and an intelligent fragrance system, creating an immersive experience that rivals a theater.

Notably, the vehicle is equipped with 8-way electrically adjustable Nappa leather seats, which integrate heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Additionally, the seats automatically adjust the lateral support strength in off-road mode, ensuring that even in extreme conditions, they provide exceptional comfort and support for both the driver and passengers.

The pure electric version of the MHERO I is equipped with Dongfeng's independently developed 800kW high-power four-motor drive system, paired with an industry-leading 142kWh silicon-carbon anode high-voltage battery pack, supporting an 800V ultra-high voltage fast-charging platform. The extended-range model features a 1.5T high-efficiency range extender paired with a dual-motor intelligent combination. Under the CLTC standard, the comprehensive range exceeds 1023 kilometers.

Both powertrain versions are standard-equipped with an intelligent energy management system. In off-road mode, the system dynamically distributes power between the front and rear axles in a continuously variable 50:50 to 0:100 ratio, ensuring exceptional off-road capability. On-road mode automatically switches to an energy-efficiency-first strategy to maximize driving range.


After a deep experience, Gergely Szabó, the editor-in-chief of AutoReview Hungary, particularly highlighted the impressive terrain prediction feature of the smart off-road assistance system. This system can proactively adjust the power distribution 0.5 seconds in advance, a crucial safety feature for extreme scenarios like climbing slippery rock walls.


Ján Kollár, the technical editor of 4x4Magazin Slovakia, confirmed through professional VBOX equipment that during the simulated cross-axle recovery test, the vehicle's electronic differential lock response speed reached an industry-leading level. It was 40 milliseconds faster than the Mercedes G-Class, completely preventing tire spin and slippage.
