The 2018 China International Big Data Industry Expo, which was jointly sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, and Guizhou Provincial People’s Government, concluded in Guiyang City on May 29. During the Big Data Expo (Guizhou), the 5G driverless car, which was jointly developed by DFM and China Mobile, received extensive attention.
It is learned that in 2017, DFM worked with its copartners to convene a special seminar on the world’s unprecedented new-generation network-connected autonomous technology based on LTE-V/5G in Beijing, in addition to carrying out the real vehicle demonstration. DFM autonomous prototype was subjected to the network-connected autonomous vehicle test based on LTE-V/5G, with test items including call for a car by mobile phone, dynamic speed limit, coordination for lane change, tunnel passage, intelligent dispatch at intersection, dynamic team formation, dynamic path planning, and automatic parking, etc.
It is worth saying that the DFM 5G autonomous prototype, which showed up at the Big Data Expo (Guizhou), was developed jointly by Technical Center of DFM and China Mobile. Based on DFM AX7, the DFM 5G autonomous prototype adopts five-way high-definition camera, and realizes steady and precise remote control by virtue of 5G transmission hallmarks like large bandwidth and low time delay, for example, brake, throttle, and turning signals, which are operated by spectators in a long distance, are transmitted through 5G network. Aside from control signal, the real-time field picture signals are transmitted simultaneously.
It is learned that DFM 5G autonomous prototype, relative to driverless car, has characteristics like low cost and strong reliability. It may be first standardized for those pit cars and special-purpose vehicles that work in the severe environment, and also it has a wide range of use in scenes like automatic parking and shared car return service, etc.
As the world’s first exposition themed on Big Data, the Big Data Expo has been successfully held for three years. In 2017, it was officially upgraded to state-level exposition. Today, it has grown into the wind vane for development of the world big data industry and the most internationalized and authoritative platform in the Big Data industry.
