Dongfeng Hosts 2026 Commercial Vehicle Global Partnership Summit

On November 19, the 2026 Commercial Vehicle Global Partnership Summit was held in Shiyan, Hubei. With the theme of "Transform to Thrive, Unite to Win", distributors and partners from around the world gathered together to discuss new cooperation paths and map out the blueprint for overseas business. The summit elaborated on the 2026 overseas marketing strategy, clarified the annual export target and its achievement path, and launched Dongfeng's G-Series high-end heavy-duty truck brand.

Wang Jun expressed gratitude to overseas partners for their long-term trust and support. He pointed out that the global automotive industry is currently undergoing profound transformations in electrification, intelligence, and green development, and the competitive landscape of the commercial vehicle industry is accelerating its transition from traditional manufacturing to a "technology + ecology" model. In response to the new industry trends, Dongfeng Motor has actively promoted the leap-forward development of new energy, intelligence, and internationalization, continuously improved the technology layout of pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen energy vehicles, successfully launched the third-generation hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck with a range of over 800 kilometers, and achieved full coverage of new energy product lines.

In terms of overseas business, Dongfeng has continuously deepened its global layout through product upgrades, organizational integration, and localized operations, while strengthening investment in overseas resources and the construction of a marketing system. In the future, Dongfeng will firmly adhere to the concept of open cooperation and mutual benefit, embrace changes and drive innovation together with global partners, jointly expand the international market, and create a new chapter of high-quality development.

Wang Long extended a sincere welcome and gratitude to global partners in his speech. He stated that Shiyan, as the birthplace of Dongfeng's business, hosting this summit here symbolizes Dongfeng's original aspiration and determination to go global. Facing the new situation of the automotive industry, Dongfeng Motor has elevated its overseas business to the company's strategic level, fully implemented the "international leap-forward" strategy, and accelerated the construction of a full-value chain overseas system covering R&D, production, supply chain, marketing, and services, striving to push overseas sales to the one-million-unit mark.

Relying on the comprehensive strength accumulated by Dongfeng in automobile manufacturing over more than 50 years, the company's commercial vehicles have formed core advantages in three major areas: technology, products, and systems. In terms of technology, self-developed achievements such as the Longqing power chain and fuel cell commercial vehicles are in a leading position in the industry; in terms of products, a complete range of commercial vehicle product lines covering all power types and scenarios has been formed, with simultaneous development and launch in domestic and overseas markets; in terms of systems, localized operations in nine major fields including commodities, marketing, manufacturing, and talent are being actively promoted to continuously enhance international capabilities. Dongfeng Motor is willing to build consensus and deepen cooperation with global partners, jointly explore the global market, and create greater value for users around the world.

Yang Tao released the 2026 overseas marketing strategy. Facing new opportunities brought by the global market, especially emerging regions, Dongfeng will firmly advance the "international leap" initiative, and systematically enhance its global operation capabilities through five major transformations in vision, brand, technology, organization, and model.

Pan Chonggang, Deputy General Manager (in charge of daily operation) of the Overseas Business Division for Light Commercial Vehicles of Dongfeng Import and Export Co., Ltd., and Zhang Wenfeng, Deputy General Manager of the Overseas Business Division for Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, respectively delivered reports on the 2026 product strategies for light trucks and medium-heavy trucks, comprehensively demonstrating Dongfeng's technological accumulation and product planning in the commercial vehicle field. Dongfeng Motor will continue to strengthen investment in new energy and intelligent driving technologies, accelerate the construction of overseas production capacity and service centers, and through localized operations and collaboration with partners, jointly achieve high-quality development in the global market.

The summit released the overseas brand strategy of Dongfeng's G-Series high-end heavy-duty trucks, marking a new stage in the internationalization process of Dongfeng commercial vehicles. Against the backdrop of the accelerated trend of high-endization in the global heavy-duty truck market and China's heavy-duty truck exports ranking first in the world, Dongfeng Import and Export Co., Ltd. has positioned the G-Series as a flagship product matrix, integrating global top-tier supply chain resources, and aligning with world-class brands in terms of superior quality and leading technology. Having undergone rigorous testing, this series of products features ultra-long durability of 2 million kilometers and significant fuel-saving benefits, providing efficient and reliable transportation solutions for global customers. In the future, Dongfeng Motor will continue to expand the product lineup of the G-Series, establish high-end brand image stores, and work with partners to explore the high-end market, promoting Chinese commercial vehicle brands to move upward in the global high-end value chain.

To recognize partners who have made outstanding contributions to the overseas market, the summit established three awards: "Annual Excellence Award", "Emerging Power Award", and "Strategic Partnership Award". Feng Changjun, Wang Jun, Zhang Xiaofan, and Wang Long presented awards to the winning overseas partners. Distributor representatives from regions such as Pakistan and South America took the stage to share their experiences in market development, demonstrating the cooperation concept of "uniting for common development and win-win progress" between Dongfeng and its overseas partners.


On the same day, a visit and test ride experience event was held at the summit venue to help overseas partners fully understand the technological strength of Dongfeng commercial vehicles and experience star models. After the summit, the participants also took part in special business negotiations, factory visits, and test drives, gaining an in-depth experience of the product performance and technological heritage of Dongfeng commercial vehicles.
