On July 21st, the unveiling ceremony of Xinjiang Chinese and Foreign Service International Automobile City - Alataw Pass Dongfeng Automobile International Mall and the debut ceremony of automobile was held in Alataw Pass Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Xinjiang Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture. Bayinkexi, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the Autonomous Prefecture and prefect of the prefecture, Li Jianfeng, member of the Party Group and deputy commander-in-chief of the Front Command of Hubei Province's Xinjiang Aid Work, Alimujiang Rouzi, deputy secretary-general of the People's Government of the Autonomous Prefecture, and guests from Chinese and foreign enterprises attended the ceremony. Liu Guanghui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Hubei United Investment Group, Zuoheroula, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Mayor of Alataw Pass City and Director of the Ports Management Committee, and the General Manager of KUN AUTO Company in Kazakhstan delivered speeches. Yang Tao, Deputy Managing Director of China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

Dongfeng Automobile International Mall is the first automobile trade mall located at the port opened by China Dongfeng Automobile Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd. It will focus on the main business of “vehicle border warehouse + overseas exhibition”, “auto parts export center warehouse”, “bonded zone modification and repair”, integrating the functions of automobile exhibition and sale, warehousing and logistics, and export customs clearance. The exhibition hall has a total construction area of 23,778 square meters and can display 130 cars. At the same time, it is planned to provide regional coverage for Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture and its surrounding areas, providing one-stop services such as maintenance service, annual audit, environmental protection inspection and insurance agency.

At the debut ceremony, 31 units of VOYAH Free were sent to Uzbekistan for the first time through this international shopping center. Looking ahead, Dongfeng Automobile International Mall will rely on the mature operation mode of the domestic mall of the Dongfeng Group, the policy advantages of the Alataw Pass Comprehensive Boned Zone and the introduction of Hubei's talents to aid Xinjiang and other resources to introduce Dongfeng's automobile sales and operation mode into Alataw Pass and use it as a base to cover the entire Central Asia. In the middle and late stages, it will build overseas shopping centers by combining the convenient functions of overseas warehouses to replicate the experience and marketing mode of Alataw Pass to the international market and promote the overseas development of Dongfeng Automobile.

Yang Tao, expressed warm congratulations on the opening of Alataw Pass Dongfeng Automobile International Mall in his speech. He said that Dongfeng Import & Export Corporation will join hands with Xinjiang Chinese and Foreign Service International Auto Mall to build an automobile trading platform with international influence. The company will further strengthen communication with Alataw Pass, fully utilize the advantages of local geographic location, policies, and other advantages to promote the export trade of Dongfeng automobiles. It is worth mentioning that in July 2023, the first export special train loaded with 249 Dongfeng passenger vehicles successfully departed from Alataw Pass and arrived in Uzbekistan. After a year, the official opening of Alataw Pass Dongfeng Motor International Mall not only symbolizes the further deepening of the cooperative relationship between Dongfeng and Alataw Pass, but also formally starts the long-term cooperation, which provides a solid pivot and convenient conditions for the business expansion of Dongfeng Motor in Central Asia and the countries along the “Belt and Road”.
