On April 17, 2023, the 2023  Global DongFeng Dealership Summit was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Over 100 Dongfeng overseas dealers and partners from more than 30 countries and regions, including Chile, Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam, participated in the summit to learn about Dongfeng's overseas business development strategy, technological research and development achievements, product planning, and more. The summit further solidified consensus and deepened cooperation. Dongfeng's Party Committee Standing Committee member and Vice President, Zhang Zutong, and other leaders attended the summit.

At the meeting, Ma Lei, Vice President (in charge of work) of Dongfeng Motor Corporation's International Business Department and China Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co., Ltd., delivered a report en d "New Leap, Build Dreams, and Win the Future", reviewing the development of Dongfeng's overseas business in 2022 and proposing the medium- and long-term goals for the development of Dongfeng's overseas business and the key work measures for the next three years.


In 2022, Dongfeng Company exported 240,000 vehicles overseas, setting a new historical record with a year-on-year increase of 57%. It achieved new breakthroughs in various regions such as Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and Dongfeng's independent export continued to thrive. Facing the VUCA era in the future, Dongfeng International Business will continue to adhere to the long-term approach, promote cross-cycle development, and widely apply the achievements of Dongfeng's technological leapfrog to overseas markets. It is committed to providing high-quality Dongfeng products and services to overseas customers, aiming for brand internationalization, enhancing brand influence, driving the brand upward, further increasing overseas sales, and helping Dongfeng Company achieve high-quality development.

On the day of the summit, Dongfeng showcased a full range of representative products including passenger cars and commercial vehicles such as the VOYAH PASSION, FREE, DREAM,HUGE,  MAGE, SHINE family, Sharing-Van, GX, and KX, as well as core powertrain products such as "MACH Power" and "Dragon Engine" powertrains, IGBT, and electric drive assemblies, which drew the attention and praise of overseas dealers and partners.



 At the same time, the summit introduced the core independent brand strategies and products and technology of East Wind's passenger cars, commercial vehicles, VOYAH, and  MHERO. East Wind's passenger cars plan to launch a complete overseas product sequence, focusing on the "MACH Power" and Quantum Architecture of fuel, hybrid, and new energy vehicles, and the S platform new products to meet the diverse needs of customers. At this dealer summit, overseas customers learned about MHERO's brand concept, design features, product advantages, and expressed new intentions for cooperation.

During the summit, an award ceremony was held to recognize outstanding dealer partners who made outstanding contributions to Dongfeng's overseas business in 2022. Participating partners expressed that through this dealer summit, they gained a deeper understanding of Dongfeng's future development plan and clarified the direction of progress. The representative of Grupo Maresa, an Ecuadorian dealer, proposed to deploy a more complete ecological communication system locally in the future. Starting from consumer needs, they will speak with actual solutions provided by products and continuously innovate. They will strengthen promotion on various media channels, organically combining products with current hot topics for dissemination to expand the influence of Dongfeng's brand and promote regional marketing.

Norwegian dealer Electric Way shared that after joining the Dongfeng International business family in 2022, they have accelerated the experience of the distribution network and service layout of the VOYAH electric vehicle in Norway, relying on their own advantages and mature system capabilities. They also shared exciting videos of local car owners test-driving the VOYAH. In 2023, they plan to introduce high-performance new VOYAH electric vehicle products and provide excellent service experience for Norwegian customers, so as to attract more new customers to VOYAH


Mr. Hania, a representative of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle's distributor, shared his feelings about working with Dongfeng. In the field of commercial vehicle marketing, they plan to establish a service-oriented concept by providing professional after-sales service, organizing a central spare parts warehouse to provide "door-to-door" services to the distributor network, establishing training centers to regularly train distributors, developing technical online support, and increasing product promotion through participation in various exhibitions. They aim to promote services first, followed by marketing, and establish a good image through word-of-mouth, achieving good results in Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle's overseas markets.

According to reports, after the summit, regional communication meetings for Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles and Passenger Vehicles were also held, as well as a product introduction meeting for the VOYAH high-end electric vehicle, to further discuss and exchange ideas on the development plans for the company's overseas business. Overseas distributors also visited Dongfeng's headquarters, technology center, and independent brand factory, test drove various types of vehicles, comprehensively understood Dongfeng's technical strength and product attractiveness, deepened their understanding, and promoted cooperation.
